Summary

Steel Tech Building Systems is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler/Receiver to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in the flow of materials that support the fabrication and shipment of our pre-engineered metal building systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of steel, components, and supplies
  • Accurately document material deliveries and enter data into inventory system
  • Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment
  • Stage materials for production based on work orders and schedules
  • Organize and maintain inventory in warehouse and yard areas
  • Identify and report damaged or missing items
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and shipping departments to ensure material flow
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, efficient work environment

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment (certification is a plus)
  • Comfortable lifting heavy items and working in outdoor/indoor environmentsStrong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer/data entry skills
  • A team player who is honest, loyal, reliable, coachable, and respectful
