Job Summary: The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) serves as the frontline representative to patients arriving for diagnostic services. This role involves drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining a patient-centered and professional environment. This position emphasizes accuracy, trust-building, and process excellence in all aspects of patient interaction and specimen handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Draw high-quality blood samples from pediatric, geriatric, and general populations.
Prepare collected specimens for lab testing following established protocols.
Verify patient identification and labeling accuracy post-venipuncture.
Maintain a clean, professional, and safe environment in patient service settings.
Document and maintain accurate records related to specimen collection and patient interactions.
Flexibly cover multiple Patient Service Center and In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.
Comply with all organizational policies, including safety and dress code standards.
Communicate openly and professionally with patients, peers, and supervisors.
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
At least 2 years working in a Patient Service Center environment.
Prior experience with keyboard/data entry systems.
Experience delivering customer service in retail or healthcare settings.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Previous experience in high-volume clinical environments.
Familiarity with confidential medical documentation procedures.
Required Skills:
Superior phlebotomy technique and specimen handling.
Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy expertise
Data entry proficiency
Conflict resolution and customer-facing communication
Adaptability to last-minute scheduling changes
Safe and responsible driving practices (if travel required)

Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)
