Key Responsibilities:
• Complete the intake, screening, and assessment process within designated time frames.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with state guidelines and clients' unique needs.
• Facilitate group counseling and individual sessions aimed at resolving substance use-related challenges.
• Participate actively in clinical staffing and treatment team meetings, sharing pertinent case insights.
• Document services provided in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Assist clients through transitions, preparing necessary documentation and correspondence.
• Maintain professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, in adherence to the agency's Code of Ethics.
• Handle crisis situations effectively and represent the agency in the community professionally.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
• Master's or bachelor's degree in a human services field (non-licensed) and/or certification as a Qualified Addiction Professional per the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB).
• Credentials such as Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC) are preferred.
• Willingness to become credentialed in additional states and provide telehealth services.
Additional Qualifications:
• Successful completion of a background check including criminal record and driving record.
• Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance.
• First Aid and CPR certification to be obtained within the first three months of employment.
• Completion of training requirements including Behavioral Management training.
Physical Requirements:
• ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work often involves sitting most of the time but may include brief periods of walking or standing.
