Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading heavy equipment distributor in search of a Shop Service Technician to join their team in Springfield, MO.
Our Shop Service Technician will troubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment in-shop. This person will specialize in custom solutions for critical and complex applications, service, and repair of diesel-powered heavy construction equipment and associated accessories. The opening is for our Fenton, MO location; Mon-Fri. (Day shift)

Job Duties:

• Utilize OEM technology to troubleshoot equipment failures in-house and handle repairs of equipment as directed.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on equipment in the field.
• Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Understand schematics, diagrams, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Diagnose Mechanical issues utilizing company-issued laptop.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Exhibit professionalism and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and teach others; team player.

Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge:

• High school diploma, GED required. Certification or degree in Diesel Technology Program preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience servicing and maintenance of heavy construction equipment.
• OSHA-10 preferred
