Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive safety programs by leveraging data-driven strategies. Conduct daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments, and implement unique solutions to prevent injuries.
  • Deliver engaging safety training that resonates with associates and nurtures a proactive safety culture.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety while maintaining operational efficiency.

Associate Advocacy & Cultural Leadership:

  • Act as a trusted advisor for associate wellbeing, establishing strong partnerships across all organizational levels.
  • Foster a culture where safety is prioritized through effective communication, coaching, and positive reinforcement.
  • Develop strong relationships with frontline associates and leadership to drive behavioral changes and encourage safety best practices.
  • Transform safety data into compelling narratives that influence change and drive engagement in safety initiatives.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
  • Work in environments with varying noise levels.
  • Adapt to environments that may be subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Continuously climb and descend stairs as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response at the site as required.

Flexible shifts are required, including days, nights, and/or weekends. Candidates must obtain First Aid, CPR, AED certification within 3 weeks of the start date if not already certified.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year in an environmental health & safety (EHS) related field, or a bachelor's degree in a relevant area, or 6 months of experience in a safety-related role within Amazon.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations, particularly 29 CFR 1910.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional context.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality regarding workplace security and personal matters.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety-related field.
  • Strong skills in communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus.
  • Ability to analyze accident data and processes for potential safety concerns, and conduct job hazard analyses.
  • Experience in emergency response with current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Background in workers' compensation case management.

The base salary range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00 USD hourly, and includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Total compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
