Entry-Level Production Crew Member

Position Overview:
This role is vital to our production team, ensuring that goals are achieved safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies. As a Production Crew Member, you will be responsible for processing vehicles to produce both core and scrap materials, assist customers in accessing parts, and meet environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, setting a standard for your teammates.
  • Degarbage: Safely remove hazardous materials such as Freon, batteries, and excess waste as per company guidelines.
  • Drain: Extract fluids from vehicles, including gasoline, coolant, and oils, following prescribed procedures.
  • Set & Pull: Position vehicles on wheel stands for customer access to parts, and clean areas after removal of vehicles.
  • Field Decore: Loosen and remove motor and transmission mounts along with remaining tires and core items.
  • Ground Decore: Dismantle specified vehicle components while ensuring a clean work environment.
  • Table Decore: Disassemble engines and transmissions, and manage small core materials and materials sorting.
  • Tire Dismantling: Utilize equipment to separate tires from wheels, and prepare them for shipment.
  • Janitorial Duties: Keep the workspace clean and free of debris, ensuring safety in the customer area.
  • Miscellaneous: Provide excellent customer service and maintain accurate logs and records.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Capability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to complete required training on safety and environmental standards.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to perform in various weather conditions throughout the work shift.
  • Experience in automotive repair or dismantling is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with automotive parts or retail is preferred.
  • Skills in using standard tools and machinery are beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular standing, walking, and bending to perform job duties.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Vision must be adequate to ensure safety in work operations.
  • Able to remain on feet for the duration of the work shift.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to outdoor conditions.
  • Periodic contact with minimal chemical hazards.
