Part-Time Housekeeper

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Housekeeper role is vital in ensuring a superior experience for our guests. You will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms following company standards and guidelines.

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES

  • Show a 100% commitment to providing the best experience for our guests and employees.
  • Clean assigned guest rooms in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas during use.
  • Restock carts and rooms as needed or directed by management.
  • Report maintenance issues directly to the front desk or manager on duty.
  • Notify the front desk and manager on duty about any guest property left behind in check-out rooms.
  • Assist with guest requests and accommodations whenever possible.
  • Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training, including annual Extended Stay University training.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Assist in cleaning additional areas of the hotel as assigned, such as the associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
  • Help maintain overall cleanliness throughout the hotel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

  • Ability to understand instructions, policies, and guidelines, and effectively communicate with management and staff.
  • Familiarity with adhering to productivity measurements and company expectations.
  • Exhibit good judgment at all times.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent mobility throughout the hotel, including navigating various surfaces.
  • Regularly needed to bend, kneel, or crouch to access low areas.
  • Occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Detect items in guest rooms to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Occasionally work in varying weather and potentially humid conditions.
  • Encounter moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment.
  • May require travel to assist at additional locations as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • No prior experience or training required.
