Part-Time Assistant Coach

Evangel University Athletics Department is seeking a part-time assistant coach. Evangel University is a comprehensive Christian university committed to excellence in educating and equipping students to become Spirit-empowered servants of God who impact the Church and society globally.

Job Summary:

The part-time assistant coach will work within the framework of the Evangel University mission statement and the goals of the Evangel Athletic Department to:

• Influence the Christian growth of all student-athletes
• Influence all student-athletes to graduate with a professional degree
• Develop the athletic skills of each student-athlete in season and out of season
• Assist the Head Coach in developing comprehensive and strategic practice and game/competition plans
• Evaluate upcoming opponents and prepare scouting reports
• Execute other athletics program related tasks as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational degree preferred.

Possess the qualities that reflect the standards of conduct and lifestyle of the Assemblies of God fellowship.

Experience coaching at the collegiate level preferred

Ability to coach, teach, and motivate student-athletes in a Christian-collegiate environment.

Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Strong communication skills.
