GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Loan Document Preparation Specialist I is responsible for the utilizing LaserPro loan documentation system to prepare consumer loan documents for various loan types. Provides support for the Consumer and Retail Banking departments as well as external customers regarding questions related to loan documents, payment information, and title work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Prepares consumer loan documents, utilizing LaserPro for the retail banking network and/or VIP Banking associates. This duty is performed about 60% of the time.
  2. Performs collateral perfection for Missouri consumer titled transactions. This duty is performed about 15% of the time.
  3. Collects original, signed consumer loan documents and organizes loan files according to the standard file organization requirements, preparing the file for imaging and post-closing review. This duty is performed about 15% of the time.
  4. Answers routine inquiries and questions from customers and banking center personnel related to loan documents, payment information, and title work. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
  5. Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).
  6. Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Regular use of desktop/laptop computer, basic operating systems, and specialized software systems.
  • Basic experience with alphanumeric data entry, Presentation/PowerPoint, spreadsheet, and word processing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
